About John Mudge
John Mudge is a graduate of the Northfield Mt. Hermon School, Amherst College and has an M. B. A. from the University of New Hampshire. He has worked in banking and has written, edited, and published a number of books about the White Mountains of New Hampshire where he is often found hiking with his dog. The research and travels for this project took him to ten states and included a visit to Eastwood in Goochland County, Virginia where a large oak tree now silently stands where his ancestors used to farm. Today he lives in Lyme, New Hampshire.
